All educational institutions including government, semi-government, autonomous, semi-autonomous and private institutions, factories, schools-colleges-madrasas-universities will be open from Tuesday (August 6). Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) informed this information on Monday (August 5) night. In continuation of this, both capital markets are keen to start trading on normal schedule in Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange (DSE-CSE) from Tuesday.

Sources of Dhaka and Chittagong Stock Exchange have informed that on a normal day, the two stock exchanges of the country trade for 4 and a half hours in the capital market. Trading in the capital market started at 10 am and continued till 2:30 pm. During this period post closing is from 2:20 PM to 2:30 PM. However, there is some uncertainty as to whether trading can resume as normal on Tuesday. Both stock exchange authorities have confirmed that trading in the capital market will resume on Tuesday even after half an hour or an hour.

When asked about this, Chittagong Stock Exchange Public Relations Officer Tanya Begum told RisingBD that CSE has prepared to start trading from Tuesday in light of ISPR guidelines. Work is going on to enable transactions from 10 am onwards.

Meanwhile, Deputy General Manager of the Public Relations and Publication Department of Dhaka Stock Exchange. Shafiqur Rahman told RisingBD that DSE has not yet decided when to launch transactions. A decision in this regard will be taken on Tuesday morning. We try our best to start trading at 10 am.
