Ruski Boulevard is littered with broken branches after the short storm that broke out this evening in Plovdiv. No injuries have been reported so far. But from “Gardens and Parks” they are bombarded with signals.
“So far, we have received over 20 for fallen trees, of which five-six are for trapped cars,” the head of the municipal enterprise, Anton Georgiev, told “24 Chasa”. According to him, the damages are in different places in the city, in “Kyuchuk Paris” there is also a fallen construction scaffolding.
“We have formed a commission to inspect the damage and we are already on the ground,” Georgiev pointed out. He added that the mayor Kostadin Dimitrov is also already on the streets of Plovdiv.
“A short storm, but with a lot of damage,” Mayor Kostadin Dimitrov commented to “24 Chasa”, who toured the boulevards “Ruski”, “Vasil Aprilov” and “Kuklensko shose”. According to him, there are fallen branches on these routes that are being cleared.
“My deputy, Angel Slavov, is on the ground. Civil Defense and “Parks and Gardens” are also on the streets. I have given the task to clear everything as quickly as possible,” added Dimitrov. According to him, the storm was apparently quite strong.
