The coach of men’s volleyball champion Levski Nikolay Zhelyazkov commented on the group of the “blues” in the Champions League. It includes the European vice-champion “Jastzembski” from Poland, the German “Lüneburg” and the French Chaumont, which is led by the former national coach of Bulgaria Silvano Prandi.

“There is no easy group in the Champions League, but it could have been more difficult. I will be happy to play against these teams. We have our merits and we will have the chance to show the best volleyball we are capable of. The stronger teams we meet and they come here to Bulgaria, the better,” the specialist told the club’s website.

“Levski” parted ways in the summer with some of its best players from last year, among them young Simeon Nikolov, Alexander Kandev and Kristian Titriyski, who continue their development in the USA, as well as foreigners Maicon Moreira and Alejandro Toro.

Former international Todor Skrimov, Slovak international Julius Firkal, Cuban center Livan Osoria and diagonal Dimitar Peychinov were brought to the “blues”.
