The head of the Al-Hikma Movement, Mr. Ammar Al-Hakim, confirmed today, Sunday, that the government of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani represents a success story in which everyone contributed, while we renewed the call to speed up the election of a speaker for the House of Representatives.
Mr. Al-Hakim said in a statement received by the (INA): “This evening, we received the President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, and we discussed developments in the political scene in Iraq and the region and the upcoming elections.”
He added, “We praised all the efforts made to achieve the current stability that the country is witnessing at the political, security and societal levels, and we called on everyone to perpetuate it and transform it into permanent stability by adopting the Iraqi interest in any movement or direction.”
Mr. Al-Hakim renewed his support for the Sudanese government in implementing the government program and achieving sustainable development, pointing out that “the government today represents a success story in which everyone contributed, especially the political forces supporting it.”
He renewed “the call to expedite the election of a speaker for the House of Representatives,” pointing out that “we discussed the issue of Palestine and the Gaza war, where we stressed stopping the war and winning what remains of human conscience and international legitimacy regarding the war of extermination and starvation to which our people in Gaza are subjected.”
