The Havana journalists, barely a week after finishing their provincial softball championship, are already active again and this Saturday they went out to the field of the Círculo Social Félix Elmusa (Náutico) to start the so-called Superior Tournament.
The new champions of the Faculty of Communication (FCOM) and the boys from the Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT), finalists in the last two seasons, achieved their quota for this event, from which the best athletes will be chosen to make up the team of National Media who will attend the national championship, to be held at the end of the year in the province of Holguín.
As expected due to the rivalry that these two squads have shown, they divided honors in their debut, while the team that represents the University of the Ministry of the Interior (UMI) beat those of the Hermanos Sainz Association (AHS) on a couple of occasions. , to start leading the standings.
The president of the League, Annel Martínez, gave his ICRT Metropolitans their first victory from the pitching circle, in a challenge where they won 10-2 with an artillery of 20 hits.
