The Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court has annulled the sentence of a fine that the Court of Teruel imposed on two defendants for the crime of insulting the State Security Forces and Corps, for various messages that they published on social networks after the murder of two civil guards by the criminal known as ‘Igor the Russian’ on December 14, 2017 in the province of Teruel. The Chamber upholds the appeal of the two convicted persons and acquits them of the crime of serious insults to the Security Corps and Forces, of article 504.2 of the Penal Code.
