The Supreme Court confirms 5 years in prison for a former accountant of the Catalan Foundation for appropriating more than 1 million euros

The Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court has confirmed the sentence to 5 years in prison for a continuous crime of falsification of commercial documents in medial competition with another continuous one of fraud against the person in charge of accounting, administration and economic management of the Catalan Foundation, from the Catalan Agricultural Foundation and the Catalan Foundation for the Study of Liver and Gastroenterological Diseases from 1995 to 2012 for having appropriated 1,199,355 euros. The court dismissed the appeal filed by the convicted person against the ruling of the Provincial Court of Barcelona which, in addition to the aforementioned prison sentence, imposed on her, as civil liability, the payment to the Foundations of the defrauded amounts.
