The Supreme Court confirms the conviction of a former sub-delegate of the Government of Catalonia for signing illegal immigration files of people linked to the Georgian mafia

The Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court has confirmed the sentence to 5 years of disqualification for employment or public office and 6 months in prison, sentence replaced by a fine of 2,880 euros, to the former sub-delegate of the Government of Catalonia EP from 2004 to 2007 for signing files of illegal aliens from people linked to the Georgian mafia and, furthermore, for instructing subordinate officials to process them favorably and preferentially. The court dismissed the appeal filed by the convicted person against the judgment of the Provincial Court of Barcelona that handed down the aforementioned sentence against him for a continued crime of prevarication and another continued crime of influence peddling.
