The Criminal Chamber of the Supreme Court has confirmed the sentence of 4 years and 3 months in prison and the payment of fines and compensation amounting to 14.6 million euros to the president of a charitable foundation that, according to the proven facts, was a cover to avoid paying the taxes corresponding to the onerous activity of buying and selling real estate to which he was engaged. The foundation, called ‘San Andrés’, along with three other companies, is declared subsidiary civil liability for the payment of the amounts.
