Colombo: The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka allowed further proceedings against the country’s former President Gotabaya Rajpaksa.

The action is based on a case filed by the rights organization Transparency International for bringing the country to its worst financial crisis in seven decades.

The rights group also said that the court has given permission to take action against former Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa, former Finance Minister and two Central Bank employees.
