An instrument error could have caused the crash of the L-410 aircraft, which occurred on the night of September 13 in the north of the Irkutsk region. KP.Ru writes about this with reference to the director of the airport of the village of Kazachinskoe Boris Ilyin.
According to him, one of the crew members said that the L-410 was being driven on autopilot and “lost its course due to a navigator’s error.” The error was serious, the plane deviated noticeably from the course – the hill, which the L-410 touched, is located seven kilometers from the Kazachinsky runway. According to the airport director, this runway is not difficult. And the weather was normal. The strip is brightly lit, and it is difficult not to see it, “the pilots always sit down visually, by themselves,” the publication quotes Boris Ilyin.
Meanwhile, the pilots who flew the L-410 were “very experienced, not the first year in the sky,” KP quotes the words of Andrei Bogdanov, director of the “SiLA” airline, which owns the plane. The crew commander has over a thousand flight hours.
Recall that L-410, en route from Irkutsk to Kazachinskoye, made a hard landing in the taiga, a few kilometers from its destination. Onboard there were 14 passengers and two crew members. Three passengers and the pilot were killed, 12 people were injured. At the scene of the accident in the Kazachinsko-Lensky region, one of the black boxes of the aircraft was found.
