Sri Lankan President Ranil Wickremesinghe has said that the Tamil side should not impose conditions before the talks for the solution of the national ethnic problem begin.
Also, Ranil Wickramasinghe has requested the Tamil political parties to come to the negotiating table first.
When Ranil Wickramasinghe was asked about the three conditions imposed by the leaders of Tamil National Parties, he replied as above.
He continued to comment on this,
“After the completion of the budget debate, an all-party meeting will be held to resolve the ethnic issue. So don’t make conditions before the talk starts.
The Tamil party should seize the opportunity
First come to the talk table. Let’s talk at the negotiating table and decide on a solution. No matter what the problem is, a good solution can be found through dialogue.
Therefore, Tamil leaders should come forward to take advantage of the good opportunities. “Don’t repeat the mistakes of the past,” he advised.
