The tax authority enters the Arab sector: this is the damage to the debtors

The Tax Authority acted tonight (between Wednesday and Thursday) in the city of Tira against taxpayers who accumulated debts with permission, seized 12 vehicles – some of them luxury vehicles, and collected a sum of approximately NIS 233,000 in total from debtors who sought to settle their debt as a result of the activity.

The activity was conducted as part of a quarterly VAT operation and as part of the Tax Authority’s efforts to increase enforcement. The activity was shared by the Central Collection Enforcement Unit (Hotsalp Tel Aviv) and the combined office in the Sharon area, and 10 police officers and 3 tow trucks also took part in it.

The debts that were dealt with were accrued to the combined office in the Sharon area and to the Netanya police station. The activity was preceded by an intelligence activity to locate the debtors and their vehicles. The Tax Authority will continue to work to increase enforcement activities to improve and maintain the ability to deter, among other things by conducting field operations.

Even earlier, the police informed about a successful operation in the city of Rahat. As part of the operation, a total of 8 vehicles were impounded due to tax debts totaling approximately NIS 3.3 million. It should be noted that the activity was preceded by preparatory work by the Tax Authority, which included gathering intelligence, locating the debtors and pasting notices.
