Bayern Munich goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, not exactly “bread hungry”. The German earns about 320,000 euros gross per week, so the story that took place a few weeks ago and was recently published, seemed a bit puzzling and illuminated the captain of Bayern Munich in a negative light for many people.
Neuer and another passenger boarded a taxi towards a residential neighborhood inside Munich, when the driver, named Azir, recognized the familiar passenger getting into his vehicle. When the taxi driver finished his work day, he found the German doorman’s wallet, containing 800 euros and his personal documents of the gifted doorman. The prisoner did not get confused and got in his car to return the wallet to its rightful owner, mainly because of the sensitive documents he found inside, but when the doorman was not at the point where he got out of the taxi, he drove to the doorman’s private home.
Apparently, the taxi driver expected to receive an award as the direct exit, when, as I recall, those who lost their wallets earn close to 17 million euros a year. After a journey of about 120 kilometers, the taxi driver passed on to the employee at the doorman’s house the property and information about the whereabouts of the wallet to Neuer, who in turn, assessed the gesture improperly according to the driver’s feeling, and gave him a Munich Munich shirt in return.
“This award is a joke, I invested and I have four children at home,” The taxi driver told German media after the incident. In Germany, there is a law that requires giving a reward of about five percent to those who found over 500 euros and returned to the rightful owners, and after calculating the length of the trip, with the value of the German shirt, the driver ended up with a “prize” worth only 34 euros.
