The third ODI was interrupted by rain; Series to New Zealand (1-0)

Christchurch: India-New Zealand 3rd ODI abandoned due to rain. With this, New Zealand won the series 1-0. New Zealand won the first match of the ODI series. The second match was stopped by rain. Rain came when New Zealand was batting against India in the third ODI. The match, which was initially suspended due to rain, was later abandoned.

Earlier, losing the toss and batting, India were all out for 219 in 47.3 overs. The performance of Washington Sundar, who scored a half-century, and Shreyas Iyer, who scored 49 runs, rescued India from a huge slump. Sundar scored 51 runs off 64 balls and Shreyas Iyer scored 49 runs off 59 balls.

Captain Shikhar Dhawan scored 28 runs off 45 balls.
