INTERVIEW – Yves Laszlo, mathematician, calls on public authorities to launch a new “Manhattan Project”.
These are renowned scientists from diverse backgrounds who are calling on public authorities and the private sector for a “Manhattan Project” for the ecological transition. What a dedicated mobilization did to create the atomic bomb during the Second World War, they want to reproduce to find solutions to the climate challenge, within the constrained deadline described by the IPCC scenarios. In the Assembly, Philippe Juvin and fourteen LR deputies have just tabled a resolution to this effect. The original project is notably led by Yves Laszlo, mathematician at the University of Paris-Saclay.
