The incident took place at the Best Western Hotel in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The visiting family was visiting Alton Towers. They chose Best Western Hotel with three star category rating to stay for the night. They booked a room there thinking that the facilities of the hotel are suitable for a family stay. But as night fell, the game changed.
The rats came down in droves. They roamed freely inside the room where they stayed and in the verandah outside the room. Finally, when they couldn’t stand the harassment, they ran away and took a room in another hotel.
Then they described their ordeal on TripAdvisor. They said that they tried to get another room in the hotel but did not get it. After the incident became controversial, many people have come forward with the revelation that they have faced the same experience.
But the hotel authorities claim that their hotel has not been overrun by mushikas. They say that all the necessary safety measures have been taken and the National Pest Control Company and the local council are happy with the measures they are taking to reduce the rat infestation around the hotel.
In any case, the story of the hotel conquered by the Mushikams has become a song all over the country. It remains to be seen if the hotel will have to be burnt down in fear of mice.
