The relegation league of three teams has been confirmed in the Dhaka Premier Division Cricket League (DPDCL). The three teams confirmed for relegation are City Club, Rupganj Tigers Cricket Club and Gazi Tires Cricket Academy.
The fate of City and Rupganj was decided at the end of the last and 11th round of the league on Friday. And Gazi Tires relegation was confirmed yesterday.
The points of four teams are equal to four. Pertex and Gazi Tires have equal 2 wins in head to head. According to the bylaws of the tournament, Pertex Sporting Club avoided relegation as they were ahead in terms of net run rate between the two teams.
Rupganj won the toss and scored 259 runs for 8 wickets in BKSP. Partex secured victory by 3 wickets in 48.5 overs.
Tanveer Haider was the man of the match after scoring 72 runs unbeaten. Tofail Ahmed was unbeaten on 24 runs with him. Ahrar Amin scored the second highest 58 runs. Abu Hasim took 4 wickets for Rupganj.
Earlier, Jasim Uddin and Sohag Ghazi scored a challenging fifty in Rupganj. Jasim scored 81 and Sohag scored 67 runs. Mohr Sheikh and Muktar Ali took maximum 3 wickets each for Pertex.
