In 1980 “Il tempo delle mele” was released in theaters, a French film directed in 1980 by Claude Pinoteau (broadcast at 2.00 pm on Cielo). The film, which made teenagers all over the world dream, launched the career of Sophie Marceau, the star of Victoire “Vic” Berreton. At the time Sophie – who, thanks to the sequel «The Time of Apples 2» released in 1982, will receive the César award for best female promise – was only 14 years old and was in her first film experience. Over the years she has continued to act, ranging from romantic roles to dramatic parts (she has also participated in international productions such as “Braveheart” alongside Mel Gibson, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” with Rupert Everett, “Anna Karenina” and “The World is Not Enough”, a chapter of the James Bond saga released in 1999). She also tried her hand as a director – her latest film is ‘Mrs Mills – A neighbor’s treasure’ in 2018 – and in 2002 she was awarded the title of Knight of the Order of Arts and Letters (in 2016 she refused the prestigious Legion of honor in protest for the granting of the same honor to the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Nayef). But what happened to all the other protagonists of “Il tempo delle mele”?
