The multiethnic metropolis of Los Angeles has always been a stronghold of “white supremacists”, of white racists and their obsession to preserve the Anglo-American hegemony in the United States, both numerically and politically and culturally, forever. Demographic projections point in a different direction: within a generation, the non-Hispanic white population will drop below 50 percent nationwide; in the “Greater Los Angeles Area”, LatinX, as people with a Latin American background are correctly called, already make up half of the 14 million inhabitants. Yes and? The prospect that “whites” are no longer a matter of course for the “majority” in all of California radicalizes the Suprematists with whose help Donald Trump, their patron, wanted to prevent his election. Five decades ago, the “Hispanics” were targeted as the backbone of the “future democratic majority” (John Judis / Ruy Teixeira), but in the anti-minority majority electoral system, the predominantly white Republicans were able to assert themselves in power.
