The main index of the Tokyo Stock Exchange, the Nikkei, rose 1.04% this Friday at the opening, above the psychological barrier of 30,000 points and reaching its highest level since 1990. The Nikkei, which brings together the 225 most representative titles in the market, rose 1.04% or 322 points in the first 10 minutes of trading in Tokyo, to 30,895.93 integers. The Topix, which includes the firms in the main section, those with the largest capitalization, advanced 0.53% or 11.44 points, to 2,169.29 units.

Tokyo opened higher encouraged by the good results on Wall Street the day before and with the hope of a prompt resolution of the US debt ceiling problem, in addition to the weakness of the yen, which encourages exporters.
