The incidence of corona has increased slightly in 9 states in the last one week. A further 211 people have died across the country, including 161 in Kerala due to corona infection. This brings the total death toll to 4,73,537.

The Federal Department of Health released a report this morning on the state of the corona infection, which said 8,306 new cases had been reported in the past 24 hours. This includes a maximum of 4,450 people in Kerala. The number of victims so far has risen to 3 crore 46 lakh 41 thousand 561. Over the past one week, the new incidence across the country has dropped by an average of 3 per cent, including 1.5 per cent in Kerala, 15 per cent in Maharashtra and 2.8 per cent in Tamil Nadu.

At the same time, the incidence in Karnataka has risen by 25 per cent in the past one week. That means 2,499 people have been confirmed infected in the state in the past week. It is noteworthy that 2,001 people were affected in the previous week. Similarly, the weekly impact in Telangana has increased from 1,059 to 1,329. The weekly impact in Delhi has risen from 200 to 492, in Gujarat from 202 to 309 and in Uttar Pradesh from 50 to 101.

In Goa, 50 per cent, Sikkim 122 per cent, Jharkhand 12 per cent and Jammu and Kashmir 10 per cent of the total nine states and union territories have seen a slight increase in the new impact over the past one week. A further 211 people have died across the country, including 161 in Kerala due to corona infection. This brings the total death toll to 4,73,537.

A further 8,834 people fully recovered from the infection and returned home. The number of people who have recovered so far has risen to 3 crore 40 lakh 69 thousand 608. Currently 98,416 people are being treated in hospitals. Of these, a maximum of 44,110 are in treatment in Kerala. Across the country, 24,55,911 doses have been given in a single day and so far 127 crore 93 lakh doses of vaccines have been given to the people.

Meanwhile, 8,86,263 samples were tested in a single day. According to the Medical Research Council of India, a total of 64.82 crore samples have been tested so far.
