The Town will be secured by robots from Boston Dynamics and AI on stage
BlockTrends – The Town music festival will bring great innovations in the field of technology and artificial intelligence in this year’s 2023 edition, which starts this Saturday (2nd), at the Interlagos Racetrack, in São Paulo.
For example, as reported by the newspaper O Globo, the use of avatars generated by artificial intelligence, with the aim of creating an immersive experience, allowing participants to interact with virtual characters that communicate messages and advertise attractions.
The technology team designed and will apply the innovation on the New Dance Order stage, dedicated to electronic music. Thus, they will generate 100 avatars with artificial intelligence, equipped with their own faces, clothes, voices and personalities.
The AIs will be projected onto 350 square meter LED screens. The objective is to make the characters spread optimistic messages about the future to the public. In addition, they will also announce the thirty attractions that will play in space.
Robot dogs will guard The Town
In addition, the use of drones and robot dogs for security will aim to guarantee a safer environment, monitoring possible risks and collecting data in real time. Last year’s Rock in Rio festival also used technology. SegurPro will bring the robot dogs, and the American company Boston Dynamics produced them, being the manufacturer of this technology. In this way, the objective is to focus on the security of the place.
Also according to O Globo, there will be a total of 25 robot dogs to monitor the festival. The equipment uses a 5G network to collect data from the environment, such as temperature to identify possible fire outbreaks and risk of suspicious events.
The Operational Control Center receives the data collected in real time during the festival. In addition to them, two thousand human beings and four drones will be providing security.
Finally, another technology adopted at the festival will be the use of sensory vests that can allow the hearing impaired to feel the vibration of the music, providing a complete musical experience. The vests will be made available in the space called the space called “Sinta o Som”.
