The State Traffic Inspectorate warned Belarusian drivers about strengthening road control in one of the regions.
Until January 21, inspectors intend to intensively monitor emergency-prone and “intensive” sections of roads, using methods of secret and mixed control.
Strengthened control in the next four days, in particular, is expected on the roads of the Grodno region. As the press service of the regional traffic police explained, it was organized “in order to stabilize the situation with accidents involving vulnerable road users,” as well as to “increase the discipline of road users” and prevent traffic violations.
As the inspectorate explained, in hidden raids they will monitor how drivers allow pedestrians to pass at crossings, as well as the behavior of the “vulnerable road users” themselves.
