Car purchase and sale transactions can be executed on the State Services portal. Such an agreement will be legally fixed, and will also have confirmation from the Ministry of Digital Transformation, TASS reports with reference to the words of the head of the traffic police, Mikhail Chernikov.
“The sale and purchase agreement has already been completed to the end, it will also be possible to make transactions quite legally on the EPGU (public services portal – Vedomosti comment), they will be legally fixed and confirmed by the Ministry of Digital Development,” Chernikov said during a meeting of the presidium Public Council under the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
The government announced the possibility of making transactions for the sale of cars through the public services portal back in April 2022, but the service was not launched immediately. It was noted that the sale and purchase will be available only to individuals and exclusively in the segment of used cars. The buyer will be able to see basic information about the car, the owner of the car, the technical condition of the car, which should make transactions more transparent.
