La Rambla de Figueres hosts this Saturday the third edition of the Transfrontiera Independent Publishers Fair, where fifteen small publishers – both from the principality and from Northern Catalonia – who publish in Catalan are participating. The aim of this event, as explained by the editor of Calligraf and organizer of the fair, Jaume Torrent, is “cultural exchange between the north and the south of Catalonia”. This year, the fair has managed to bring more publishers from Northern Catalonia than in previous editions thanks to the agreement with the House of Generalitat and the Catalan bookstore in Perpinyà. Throughout the day, a dozen literary proposals will be presented at the fair with the aim of “de-seasonalizing the sale of books”.
