The employment fair TreballemGi breaks “records” for face-to-face attendance and reaches 1,558 job interviews. The exhibition, which celebrated its 8th edition this Wednesday, was held in person from nine in the morning until two and will remain online until six. It has been introduced 364 job offers and there were 705 registrants. “We are very pleased with the response the fair has had, the large number of attendees and the possibilities we have offered to match job offers from companies with people looking for a job,” says the president of the Chamber of Commerce, Jaume Fàbrega.

Registration and monitoring of conferences can also be done virtually, giving the fair a “hybrid” character. The registrants were able to interview with the participating companies.

The companies, for their part, have also been able to access the informative sessions on PICE recruitment aid. During the last few years of implementation of the PICE youth employment program by the Girona Chamber of Commerce, a total of 6,988 young people have participated in its workshops and training. Very diverse profiles have been presented at the fair, from kitchen assistants, mechanics or engineers.

TreballemGi is organized by the Girona Chamber of Commerce as part of the PICE Program and has the collaboration of the Girona City Council, the Girona County Council, the Employment Service of the Generalitat of Catalonia, and the University of Girona, and is financed by the European Social Fund, the Ministry of Labor and the Chambers of Commerce. The last edition took place last May in virtual format.
