He added that Alves’s presumption of innocence and his right to have a trial with due guarantees have also been violated.
Guardiola claims that the Brazilian footballer should be acquitted since the sexual relationship, according to her, was consensualalso raising mitigating circumstances such as drunkenness and reparation for the damage by paying 150,000 euros (US $161,752) as bail to cover possible compensation to the victim.
Alves’ defense asked that the player declare last place on Wednesday and added that he “he never had the opportunity to defend himself effectively during the investigation.”
The hearing held to judge the footballer takes place in the dock of section 21 of the Barcelona Court and It will go until next Wednesday.
