Thanks to the new series from Amazon MGM Studios, together with 3Pas Studios, Visceral and Reclaim Entertainment, Eugenio Derbez will star in a dramatic role for the first time in his career thanks to the series “The Judgment”.
Filmed on sets in Puebla and Mexico City, the series features actors such as Peter Alonso, Karla Gaytan, e Iker Sanchez Solano, who will play the central characters in this story.
This eight-episode series inspired by Real cases that have happened in Mexico, dramatizes a crime that shakes a specific city but will resonate throughout the country.

The plot follows a young girl and her father in their fight for justice after she suffers a sexual abuse. In addition to dealing with the aftermath of the crime, both will face off against a failed judicial system and the father of the young aggressor: a successful man willing to use all his power to protect his son and prevent him from paying for his crime.
“The Trial” will premiere exclusively through Prime Video in more than 240 countries and territories. In a statement, Eugenio Derbez said: “My entire career I have sought to challenge myself, and The Trial represents one of the greatest acting challenges I have ever faced. Exploring terrifying situations and feelings took me to new places in terms of acting.

For his part, the actor Peter Alonso He also clarified that in the last almost three years, which were demanding but stimulating for him, he decided not to film anything like this 2024 until this script arrived.
