the true story that inspired the series

TF1 is launching this Monday, January 9, 2023 the first episodes of “Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec”, its new series, inspired by a truly inclusive establishment.

[Mis à jour le 9 janvier 2023 à 20h48] This is a new series that the faithful of TF1 can discover this evening. “Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec” follows the daily life of disabled and able-bodied teenagers, studying in the same school. This fiction that deconstructs prejudices is inspired by the true story lived by Fanny Riedberg, creator of the series.

“What the character of Victoire experiences is what I experienced, she explained during the last La Rochelle Fiction Festival at a press conference. That is to say that I was forced to integrate this Toulouse-Lautrec high school. I was a valid full of a priori. It was a world that I did not know and I was indeed extremely refractory. Like the main character, I learned very quickly a lot of things .” This experience has inspired her this new series, which, she hopes, “will change the way people look at disability.”

“Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec” follows the daily life of Victoire who enters the Toulouse-Lautrec high school, which welcomes students with disabilities. If she is refractory at first, the young girl will learn to overcome her prejudices. In the casting, viewers will be able to recognize Stéphane De Groodt in the role of the headmaster, Aure Atika in that of Victoire’s mother, but also Valérie Karsenti, Rayane Bensetti, Joséphine Draï, Bruno Salomone or Lou Bonetti. The series is above all an opportunity to discover China Thybaud and Ness Merad in a leading role, who respectively play Victoire and Marie-Antoinette. “Lycée Toulouse-Lautrec” is broadcast every Monday on TF1, from January 9, 2023 at 9:10 p.m.
