The TSJ of La Rioja declares valid the proclamation of elected councilors in San Asensio

The Administrative Litigation Chamber of the TSJR has issued a ruling in which it dismisses the appeal filed by the PSOE against the agreement of the Electoral Board of the Haro Zone of June 16, 2023 for the proclamation of elected councilors in the Riojan municipality of San Asensio. The Haro Zone Electoral Board declared the vote in which the census card was included valid, which granted the majority to the PP in the general vote count of the aforementioned municipality. The PSOE requested in its appeal the annulment of the proclamation of elected candidates, considering that the vote in which the census card was included should be excluded from the general calculation. A circumstance that would leave the two candidacies tied in San Asensio, that of the Socialist Party and that of the Popular Party.
