Released in 1987, the film Fatal Attraction con Michael Douglas e Glenn Close grossed $320 million, placing at the top of the annual ranking. Now also a series, with Joshua Jackson (Dawson’s Creek, The Affair) as Dan Gallagher and Lizzy Caplan (Masters of Sex) in that of Alex Forrest. The starting point is the same as in the film: a married man, Dan, begins a relationship with a mentally challenged woman, Alex, putting himself in serious danger. The series, however, overcomes some clichés of the eighties cult film, trying to explain Alex’s discomfort. The first three episodes of Fatal Attraction are already on Paramount+, the next ones will be distributed one a week.
