The framework “Two hours for us, two for Kamita” celebrated its 10th anniversary, this Saturday, May 13, 2023 in Ouagadougou. This was an opportunity for the members of this organization to take stock of their journey.
During the celebration, Lianhoué Imhotep Bayala, secretary general of the framework, said that in a decade, “Two hours for us, two hours for Kamita” (2HK) has organized more than 160 conferences in Burkina Faso and other country ; tackled 2000 topics; exploited an agricultural field; open a restaurant and raise awareness among several students for a decolonized and uninhibited Africa.
“The essential task during these 10 years was to produce a quality human resource capable of addressing African challenges. We have worked on the watchwords of the decolonization of mentalities, on the watchwords of uninhibiting the African in the face of the world and in the face of his responsibilities before history.said the general secretary of 2HK.
A panel was organized on the occasion of this anniversary. It was moderated, among others, by Dieudonné Zoungrana, editor of the newspaper Aujourd’hui au Faso, under the theme: ” Role and place of African intellectuals in the face of the security challenge in the Sahel “. According to the panelist, the Sahelian intellectual must take a stand in the face of the security crisis that the countries of the Sahel are going through, by playing their role of awareness and action to fight against terrorism.
“The Sahelian intellectual must be where he is, a VDP”
To go further, Dieudonné Zoungrana declared that the Sahelian intellectual must volunteer for the defense of his homeland (VDP).
“I think that today, we had to set the scene by saying that the Sahelian intellectual, whether from Mali or Burkina Faso, must take a stand. Taking a stand, what is it? Whether he writes in a newspaper, whether he gives lectures, he must take a stand. It may not please, but at the same time too, he must take action. (…) The Sahelian intellectual must be where he is, a VDP. He must take a position that helps fight against this enemy who fights us every day.he expressed himself.

Journalist Noufou Zougmoré also moderated the panel. His presentation focused on the theme: “Place of culture in the self-determination of African peoples”. For him, culture is a means that can contribute to the fight against terrorism. “If we manage to use culture, it can allow us to win victories and ultimately overcome terrorism”he said.
