/ The UAE national team defeated the Hong Kong national team, this evening, Sunday, as part of the ongoing Asian Football Championship competitions in the Qatari capital, Doha.
The match took place at five-thirty in the evening at Khalifa International Stadium, and ended in favor of the UAE with a score of 3-1.
The first half ended with the UAE national team leading with a free goal, which came from a penalty kick successfully executed by player Sultan Al Amiri in the 34th minute.
In the second half, the Hong Kong national team scored the equalizer goal in the 49th minute through Philip Chen, and the UAE national team was able to score the lead goal in the 52nd minute through Zayed Sultan Jassim, and the Emirati Yahya Al Ghassani also succeeded in scoring a third goal from a penalty kick that he executed in the 90th + 5th minute.
The Palestinian and Iranian teams will conclude today’s matches at 8:30 pm at Education City Stadium.
