The creation of the Academy of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) in Azerbaijan will further strengthen the power of the Azerbaijani army.
As Day.Az reports, military expert Azer Bayramov told Trend about this on Monday.
He noted that very few countries in the world have academies of this type.
“The creation of this academy has many advantages. In current conflicts, there is an increasing influence of unmanned aerial vehicles. These are wars of a new generation. We saw the same thing during the Second Karabakh War. UAVs create new realities. Taking them into account, Azerbaijan has taken this step to to further strengthen the power of our army,” the military expert emphasized.
The expert also noted that many states buy UAVs from abroad.
“But they constantly turn to foreign countries in connection with the training of their operators, as well as with maintenance. First of all, this requires a lot of cost and time. However, the implementation of such a process in Azerbaijan will bring huge benefits to the country in this area. In the future, in “At the academy, we will be able to see the training of professional personnel in the use of UAVs not only for military purposes, but also in police work and rescue work. In addition, we will also be able to use UAVs for detecting and clearing mines,” the military expert added.
