Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said today that the Ukrainian “victory plan”, which he is preparing to present to his American counterpart Joe Biden by the end of the month, is “fully prepared”, reported AFP.
“The most important thing now is determination [планът] to apply. There is and cannot be an alternative to peace. No freezes or other manipulations that can only deflect Russian aggression,” he said in his daily address.
According to him, the “key points and aspects” of the plan, the content of which has not yet been revealed in detail, are ready.
Last week, he said he would meet with Joe Biden this month to present Ukraine’s “victory plan” against Russia. At the time, he said it was “a set of interconnected solutions that will give Ukraine enough power, enough things to put this war on the path to peace.”
Struggling on the battlefield, facing a major Russian advance in its east, Ukraine is asking the West to allow it to strike military targets deep inside Russian territory and help it shoot down missiles aimed at it.
But the US and European countries fear that would push Moscow towards escalation and direct confrontation.
Zelensky intends to publicly present the plan to end the war at a high-level peace meeting in November, to which Russia is expected to be invited.
In addition, he welcomed the “very important” last night’s results of the activity of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Russian territory, but without specifically paying attention to the attack on an important weapons warehouse northwest of Moscow, Reuters reported, quoted by BTA.
“An important result was achieved last night on Russian territory, and such actions weaken the enemy. Thanks to everyone involved. Such accuracy is truly inspiring,” he added.
