The besieged hospitals can practically no longer care for the wounded. The most important one – Al-Shifa hospital – has been left without electricity after the fuel used to run the generators completely ran out, while two other reference medical centers, including the one for children, have also stopped working after suffering serious damage.
Israel has indicated that civilians in northern Gaza – still numbering around 300,000 – will be able to leave that sector during daily breaks in the bombing.
The UN Humanitarian Aid Coordination Office indicated that, due to this promise, this Friday some 30,000 people left Wadi Gaza (an area in the north) through a corridor opened by the army, but that in the afternoon there were several explosions on that road and that caused deaths and injuries.
