The UN General Assembly convenes in New York today for an emergency special session to discuss Russia’s war on Ukraine.
At the 193-member body, the meeting was convened at the request of 22 countries, including the United States and the United Kingdom.
It is to be recalled that the meeting of this organization had already taken place from the 28th of last month to the 2nd of March, when a resolution was passed against the Russian invasion of Ukraine with the support of the majority of member states.
UN General Assembly spokeswoman Paulina Kubiak Greer said a draft resolution had now been submitted by Ukraine and other member states and was being circulated.
