The UN needs at least 4.5 billion euros for aid to Afghanistan – Afghanistan

Geneva / Kabul – UN aid to Afghanistan and neighboring countries with refugees will cost at least 4.5 billion euros this year. The UN Emergency Aid Office (OCHA) announced on Tuesday that it is the largest humanitarian appeal for donations that the United Nations has ever drawn up for a country. “A huge humanitarian catastrophe is looming,” said emergency aid coordinator Martin Griffiths.
