The U16 team won the Hooray Cup undefeated, dispute occurred in the city of Zhangzhou, China, in the early hours of this Tuesday (Brasília). In the final the Tricolor beat the Japanese Avispa Fukuoka 2-1, with a goal from Calci, voted best player of the tournament.
The competition brought together 16 teams divided into four groups. In the first phase, the Tricolor won 6-1 in their debut, against Shenzhen, and an incredible 16-0 over Xinjiang Changji in the second match, in addition to a 1-1 draw against Zhejiang FC.
In the quarterfinals, the Sao Paulo team beat the Chinese Beijing Football, 3-1. In the semifinals, they beat PSV Eindhoven, 1-0.
With the unprecedented title, São Paulo achieved 87 titles in the Cotia era (since 2005).
