Ukrainian Defense Minister Olekiy Reznikov has been swept away by a corruption scandal. No changes are to be expected for the current offensive.

The departure of Oleksiy Reznikov had been in the air for a few weeks. At the end of August, the person concerned had only limply denied the possibility that he was disembarked. In his nocturnal address, Sunday evening September 3, Volodymyr Zelensky announced his desire to replace him with Roustem Oumerov. An appointment that must be validated by the Rada, the Ukrainian Parliament. No reason has been officially given, other than the need to bring new impetus to the ministry, but since last January, several corruption scandals have put Oleksiy Reznikov in the hot seat.
