During the recent flood, Hong Dang and his friends were present very early in Thai Nguyen, Tuyen Quang, Yen Bai, Vinh Phuc… bringing relief supplies to help people. The image of the actor wearing shorts and a life jacket, pulling an inflatable boat, wading through the water to each house to give gifts to households deeply submerged in the flood touched many people. Hong Dang even gave useful advice from his own experience when providing relief in flood areas to warn people.

The actor shared that someone asked, “Are you afraid of danger when going into a flooded area like that?”, Hong Dang replied: “Is there anyone who is not afraid of death, but because he is deaf, he is not afraid of guns?”
“It can be said that the guys in the PVC team (PVC Quick Response Team of the Hanoi Youth Union) all eat at home and carry prisoners and goods. Whenever there is an outbreak, we all go on the road. Remember during the Covid epidemic- It’s the same when going to distribute food to people, but when I come back I’m afraid I’ll bring the virus to my wife and children… Then, when driving in the highlands, sometimes cars on slippery roads get into accidents, but I just keep asking them to go Deaf people are not afraid of guns,” Hong Dang shared.
After days of providing relief to people in flood areas, Hong Dang and his friends again carried full carts to Hang Lia – Dien Bien Dong (Dien Bien province) to give gifts to ethnic minorities. This was a charity trip that had been planned before the floods and despite many difficulties, Hong Dang and his group of friends were still determined to do it.
“In short, every journey for me is an experience… Solidarity and the spirit of doing something good with the community help us overcome all difficulties and fears,” Hong Dang expressed.
In the middle of June 2024, Hong Dang suddenly had his name mentioned in topics discussing the movie with the participation of Hong Diem. Accordingly, many people expressed regret and shouted Hong Dang’s name because they thought that due to his absence, in the movie “Heart Rescue Station”, Hong Diem had to act with Quang Su and Truong Thanh Long. In the clip, Ho Hoai Anh said that when his charity group arrived at Nui 1, the houses of the households here were still there. But in the blink of an eye, all their assets were buried. Feeling sorry for the difficult situation, Ho Hoai Anh, on behalf of the artist group in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, donated 5 million VND to each family in distress to rebuild after the flood.
“This is only a very small amount of money, showing the heart of the artists in the group. I hope many benefactors will come here to support people in difficulty,” Ho Hoai Anh shared.
