Currently the pond is completely filled and all the water coming through the canal is left in the well. Therefore, the water level in the well is high but not completely filled. Despite the water falling into the well for the past one week, the public is watching as the information about the miracle well has spread to the surrounding areas as the well is not full.
At this stage, an expert team of three IIT professors from Chennai is studying the quality of the water and the nature of the soil with the help of satellite imagery.
Farmers are pleased to be able to study the underground structure and see if it is possible to create an additional groundwater storage system in the area to alleviate the drought of the deforestation.
