The Supreme Court of the Basketball Association decided that the Premier League is on its way to returning to the management of the association at the end of the current season. This is not the end of the verse, as petitions by the director to a civil court to change the decision are expected. According to section 77 of the judgment, this means that from now on the union will be able to prepare for the transfer of management to its hands and at the same time also examine in a professional and matter-of-fact manner the need and reason for transferring this management.
The chairman of the administration, Shmuel Frankel: “I hope that the ruling gives the administration and the union the opportunity to negotiate without pressure and reach a new agreement that expresses the principles of the existing agreement. If the parties do not reach an agreement, the administration will continue with preparations for the establishment of an independent league from the 2023/24 season onwards I congratulate the court that directed the management of the union in section 77 to ‘examine in a professional and matter-of-fact manner the need and the reason for the transfer of management’, thereby testifying to its appreciation for the work of the management in the last 20 years.”
The league director hastened to comment on the decision and wrote: “The league director continues to manage the Premier League for the benefit of basketball, the professional basketball teams, and the fans. In the discussion that took place about two weeks ago, the issue of the lack of a solid rationale and reason for canceling the agreement between the director and the union came up more than once. Furthermore, it was noted during the discussion that even in the management of the union, many members praised the management of the league by the management, as it has been managed for 20 years.
