With a saving goal from Brandon Vázquez, the United States drew 1-1 against Jamaica this Saturday in the opening match of the 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup at Soldier Field in Chicago (Illinois).
Defender Damion Lowe advanced to Jamaica in the 13th minute and Mexican-American Brandon Vázquez equalized at 88 minutes for the US team.
Despite the absence of their main figures, the Americans could only salvage a point against a Jamaica that had the opportunity to increase its lead in the first half in a penalty saved by the local goalkeeper, Matt Turner.
