The United States of America increased Russian fertilizer purchases last February to the highest level since June 2023, according to data from the US Statistical Service.
In February, the United States purchased fertilizers from Russia for a total of $158.5 million, the maximum since June of last year, when the volume of purchases reached $158.7 million.

The United States imports nitrogen fertilizers from Russia without interruption, and in February, $84 million worth of Russian nitrogen fertilizers and $74 million worth of potash fertilizers were imported.
The United States also imports combined mineral fertilizers from Russia, and its imports in February amounted to approximately $550,000, in addition to Russian phosphorous fertilizers.
It is noteworthy that in total, by the end of last year, Russia exported fertilizers worth about $1.4 billion to the United States, occupying second place out of total fertilizer imports with 15%, and Canada ranked first with 48% and exports worth $4.4 billion.
