The unknown side of Jonas Žemaitis-Vytautas: a general in literature, a hero in cinema, and a man in the family

In the beginning, Jonas, then Darius, Adam, sometimes Mockus, later Matas, Ilgūnas, as well as Jocius, Tylius, Zaltys, Tomas, Lukas, Žilius, Skirgaila, and finally Vytautas. Even later – simply prisoner no. 21. 25 years ago – a brigadier general, 14 years ago – the head of state of Lithuania, the president of fighting Lithuania. This is a story about an outstanding Lithuanian personality, who had many names, but always remained the same person – about General Jonas Žemaitis-Vytautas and how his living memory affects the lives of his descendants.
