The prefect of Coyah, Colonel Yaya Kalissa, proceeded on Saturday, September 14, 2024, to lay the foundation stone of the new Madéguema bus station (Coyah), the construction work of which is entirely financed by the National Development Budget (BND) for a period of 10 months.

The new bus station, which will be built on an area of 1.41 hectares, will include various components including an office block, passenger shelters, minibus, taxi and coach platforms, waiting sheds, kiosks, a restaurant and two blocks of public toilets.

The spokesperson for the company “Nabayah construction plus”, in his communication, was keen to clarify: “this project is part of the presidential initiative led by the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Decentralization. The company “Nabayah construction plus” welcomes this initiative and warmly thanks the President of the Republic, Head of State, Army Corps General Mamadi Doumbouya who has made the construction of basic infrastructure for sustainable development one of his priorities. This project contributes to improving the development infrastructure of the Coyah prefecture, because there is no development without infrastructure.”

Very satisfied with this confirmation, the prefect of Coyah, Colonel Yaya Kalissa, for his part, stressed: “It is a dream that has become a reality. To have a modern bus station in Coyah, it pleases me in more ways than one, because in Coyah there is no bus station and the vehicles are everywhere in the city and it is difficult to move around. And if the State thought of it, through the Head of State, Army Corps General Mamadi Doumbouya, then it is a sigh of relief and I know that the State did not choose the wrong company, it is because the State has confidence in the company Nabayah construction plus. I also ask the company to work according to the rules of the art, to follow the specifications.”
And the prefect added: “I say loud and clear that in Coyah the CNRD is supported 150%. It is General Mamadi Doumbouya who is there, not other people, it is the General who is there because he does enough things for Coyah and for Guinea.”
