Private SpaceX’s Falcon 9 has been cleared to return to space by the US aviation regulator after the launch vehicle was grounded due to a rare in-flight malfunction, Reuters reported, citing BTA.

The US Federal Aviation Administration said it had found no public safety concerns in the anomaly that occurred during the failed July 11 launch and that the rocket could resume flights while the investigation continues.

Company “SpaceX” said in the post on the social network X that it is ready to resume flights of the rocket already on Saturday, July 27.

The Falcon 9, the world’s most used launch vehicle, was grounded after one of them disintegrated in space, killing its payload of Starlink satellites. It was the first failure in more than seven years of a rocket relied on by the global space industry.

In a statement, SpaceX said the leak of liquid oxygen caused one of the engine components to overcool and damaged its hardware.

The company also said that the damaged components will be removed for the launches in the near future.

Falcon 9 is the only American launch vehicle capable of sending NASA crews to the International Space Station (ISS). The US space agency is expected to launch its next mission with astronauts in August.
