From what we understand from the manager, the reservations for summer 2024 are in line with those of 2023confirming a strong demand for this iconic destination particularly loved by Italian customers.

In one hypothetical ranking of the most visited areas in summer 2024 by Italians according to Alidaysin the first places we find the Western National Parksin particular Utah and Arizonafollowed by Rocky Mountain states, such as South Dakota and Wyoming.

Also big cities have retained their attractivenesscon New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Las Vegas have confirmed themselves as very popular destinations.

Winter Trends: Focus on Cities and Spring Previews

Looking at trends for winter 2024, bookings show a clear trend towards large American cities, with New York and Miami leading the wayespecially during the Christmas holidays.

However, there is already good anticipation for planned trips in the Spring holidays 2025a sign that travelers are planning their vacations well in advance.

The most requested products for winter remain those linked to urban experiences and seasonal eventswith a particular interest in destinations that offer both entertainment and culture.

Impact of rising costs on bookings

“Despite inflation in the United States and the resulting increase in costs, we cannot yet speak of a slowdown in bookings. This phenomenon seems to have a more significant impact on families, who have smaller budgets, while travellers with greater spending power, such as those on honeymoon, are less affected,” explains Gerevini.

For now, the market shows some resilience and bookings continue to be stablealthough it will be interesting to monitor developments over the coming months to see whether rising costs will have a more marked impact.
